Saprea Hosts Annual Atlanta Gala to Combat Child Sexual Abuse and Promote Healing and Prevention

Saprea hosts their annual gala in Atlanta at the Georgia Aquarium, the second largest aquarium in the U.S. and the entire Western Hemisphere, on June 8 at 6 p.m. ET. It promises to be an evening of hope and inspiration, shining a spotlight on Saprea's mission to liberate individuals and society from child sexual abuse and its lasting impacts.

Saprea is thrilled to announce Ana Megrelishvili and Cathryn Marshall as the co-chairs for the 2024 Saprea Gala. Marshall and Megrelishvili, both influential members of the Atlanta community, are dedicated to supporting Saprea’s mission of liberating individuals and society from child sexual abuse and its lasting impacts. They hope that their involvement in the gala will rally community and national leaders in promoting Saprea’s cause and protecting children around the world.

The Saprea Gala will be emceed by Jorge Estevez, Anchor of Channel 2 Action News at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Jorge joined WSB-TV Channel 2 as the station’s evening news anchor in January 2020. With more than 20 years of experience as a journalist and nine Emmy awards, Jorge is excited to tell the stories that impact the people of North Georgia. Jorge affirmed the alignment he feels personally with Saprea’s mission, stating, "Supporting Saprea's mission is a natural choice for me. Life is about building people up and improving the quality of life and community for everyone, and Saprea excels in that regard. I am proud to be an ally and partner in raising awareness for the vital work of the organization to help survivors heal.”
