State of Saprea

Saprea, the nonprofit known for using proven, practical methods for confronting and overcoming child sexual abuse, has announced a strategic organizational restructure as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our services and better serve our community of survivors. The organization is also exploring the introduction of new services that will help reach more audiences with our healing and prevention resources.

As part of the restructure, Saprea will be closing our Georgia Retreat location to make a strategic pivot to provide more digital growth and delivery opportunities. This includes collaborating with partners to bring remote retreat services to cities nationwide, and hopefully one day having an online retreat experience. The decision to close the location was made after careful consideration and is aimed at improving efficiency and maximizing resources.

“Saprea is committed to being a champion for the issue of child sexual abuse, and we will always look at ways we can maximize the generous donations from our supporters to impact people’s lives for good,” said Matthew Hartvigsen, Saprea’s executive director.

Saprea remains committed to liberating individuals and society from child sexual abuse and its lasting impacts. We will continue to offer the Saprea Retreat at our Utah location, as well as continue to grow the Saprea Healing Webinar, Saprea Support Groups, online healing resources, and our newly revamped online prevention resources.
