Saprea’s Sexual Abuse Awareness and Prevention Curriculum Receives Approval from Utah State Board of Education

Saprea is proud to announce that its "Sexual Abuse Awareness and Prevention" curriculum has received official approval from the Utah State Board of Education (USBE). This significant milestone underscores Saprea’s ongoing commitment to supporting Utah legislation. It also allows Saprea to expand its ability to deliver life-changing education to more parents and adult caregivers throughout the state.

With this approval, Saprea joins other respected organizations in the SAFE Child Coalition that are recognized for providing high-quality prevention education including Family Support Centers of Utah, Family Haven, Davis School District, Enough Abuse, Prevent Child Abuse Utah, Lauren’s Kids, and Smarter Kids. Together, these organizations are working to equip educators, families, and communities with the tools needed to protect children and prevent abuse.

Saprea’s curriculum underwent USBE’s rigorous review process and is now recommended as a primary resource for child sexual abuse awareness and prevention. USBE's approval validates the quality, effectiveness, and impact of Saprea’s educational resources.

Parents play a vital role in ensuring their children receive this life-changing education. One important step is checking in with their child’s school to see what prevention programming is already in place. If such education is missing, parents can take action by reaching out to school administrators and advocating for its inclusion.
