Bohme

Two powerhouse sisters created goals to give back in 2019 and surpassed them. The sisters, Vivien and Fernanda Böhme of Böhme stores, fundraised for The Younique Foundation by offering a 'donate at checkout.' Böhme employees invited store guests to donate at the register and online by rounding up to the nearest dollar or by donating an extra dollar or two at checkout. The generous month-long fundraiser proceeds were then donated to our organization. Proceeds will help run program services. Böhme specializes in trendy and hip women’s clothing. They are woman owned, managed, and amazing. What’s more, Böhme team members happily answered customer questions and educated them on The Younique Foundation’s mission. The act of women supporting women alone makes this sister act a stellar partner. Along with their financial contribution, we love how they spread awareness and introduced The Younique Foundation to many new people.

Vivien and Fernanda Böhme hail from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and immigrated to the United States as young girls. With the usual struggles of an immigrant family, work was inevitable from an early age. Their strong work ethic, dedication, and passion for success led to them opening Böhme in 2006. At just 23 and 24 years old they embarked on the business path. Böhme is led by Vivien’s mind for business as CEO and Fernanda’s eye for design as Creative Director. Today, they have store locations all across the western U.S. and employ over 200 women.

Böhme was founded with a firm belief in giving back to their communities. Each year, they seek out nonprofit organizations and causes for which to raise funds, awareness, and encourage their employees to do the same. In addition to The Younique Foundation, they’ve worked with local women's shelters, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and orphanages in Fernanda and Vivien’s native country of Brazil. They also offer paid time off to employees to volunteer within their own communities with organizations of their choice. Böhme has been named one of the Top Women-Run Businesses, including listed as a 500 Fastest Growing Companies, featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, US Weekly, and Cosmopolitan Magazine. We are honored to have partnered with them. To learn more about Böhme’s and their business ethics visit: https://www.bohme.com/pages/about-us
