I’m 45 and starting over. I raised my kids with a laser-like focus on one thing: they will not be sexually abused. I accomplished that. I sacrificed everything. Now it’s my turn.
I stayed in an unhealthy marriage to my children’s father so they wouldn’t have any stepparents. I stayed home from work for 17 years. I endured more, but different sexual abuse from my partner during this time. I endured. My kids would NOT have a stepparent.
Now I need to figure out how to do it myself. My kids are going to college. I have no college degree or even an impressive resume to land a great job, but I’ll figure it out—I always have.
DONT GIVE UP!
