Atlanta Thrive Gala is first formal event to unveil rebrand as ‘Saprea’

The Atlanta Thrive Gala being held Feb. 26 is the inaugural event since the rebrand of The Younique Foundation as “Saprea.”  “Thrive Gala: An Evening of Hope and Inspiration” will be held at the Country Club of the South in Johns Creek. Atlanta business leader C. David Moody, owner of C.D. Moody Construction Company, is honorary chair for the evening.

The nonprofit, with offices in Georgia and Utah, rebranded earlier this month in an effort to expand its services worldwide and bring greater awareness to the issue of child sexual abuse.

“Saprea is grateful for the generous support of our sponsors and the tireless work of the gala committee” said Saprea Founder and Board Chair Shelaine Maxfield. “They all help shine a spotlight on our critical prevention, education, and healing services.”

Sponsors of the formal event include an anonymous presenting sponsor, Insight Sourcing Group, Transamerica, McMichael & Gray, P.C., Kendra Scott, Premier Financial Alliance, Soliant, White Oak Renovations & Signature Homes, CGP, It’s A Sweet Life Bakery, and Bacchus Distributors. All donations go directly to Saprea programs and services so they can be offered at no cost to participants.

Moody, himself a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, knows firsthand the importance of protecting society’s most vulnerable — children. “The Thrive Gala will raise valuable funds to support the national and global expansion of this critical work,” he said. “More than 1 million children in the United States and millions more globally will be sexually abused this year alone. We must do everything within our power to save our children from this trauma.”

“We have an amazing evening planned. The committee is dedicated to ensuring we raise the most funds possible so that we can impact the lives of individuals and families,” said Deena Coughlin, Thrive Gala committee chair.
